First, the good news. It is definitely still possible to find property for sale in the Charente region for less than 100,000 euros. The bad news (or less good) is that they are becoming harder and harder to find, and you’ll have to do your homework as well as be prepared to invest in some renovation or remedial work. Naturally the closer you get to 100k€ you’ll find properties which are habitable, possibly even renovated. Under 50k€ however, and you’re looking at small village houses which will need complete renovation, or if you fancy a blank canvas there are still plenty of barns for sale in France.
